France Desperados Tequila Beer 33cl

Desperados Tequila beer is not Mexican, but made in the French Alsace. Desperados is a cerveza-style lager, fortified with tequila and a sweet 'lime cordial' flavouring that overpowers anything distinctive about the base beer, which creates in short a very nice lager-and-lime based drink. Taken chilled, it's very pleasant, refreshing, and all-too-drinkable. Desperados smells what is perhaps best described as a slightly spicy Sprite and tequila cocktail aroma. The flavour is sweet and a little lime-ish, while the body is an odd mix of light, sweet lager, lime cordial and fresh lime, and a very faint boozy edge. The finish is lingering sugar and lime with perhaps a hint of spice.
