Kirsch Willisauer 20cl

Kirsch is short for the German Kirschwasser 'cherry water', its an eau de vie 'water of life', its a clear brandy made from fermented fruit, in this case cherries. Kirsch is strong in alcohol and unlike the sweet, strongly flavoured cherry liqueurs has a very subtle flavour. Original Willisauer has been made in Willisau, Switzerland since 1918. It is a high grade spirit distilled from cherries in copper stills and matured before bottling. This eau-de-vie is distilled useing the finest wild cherry mash including the stones. The Swiss traditionally enjoy Kirsch in their coffee, chilled after a festive meal or in cakes.
