Affligem Blonde 33cl

Affligem is an authentic Belgian Abbey beer. Brewed since the 12th century and now produced by Affligem Brewery under licence from the Benedictine monks. Affligem Blonde pours with a deep golden colour and a full body. Very sweet smell with hints of honey, pepper and grain. On the palate it is well balanced, with a sweetish, refreshing fruity flavour, nice hints of honey, grain and spice as in the nose. The hops are minimal but leave a slight bitterness. The alcohol gives a nice warming sensation. Grainy flavours also present. Finish is medium-dry, with the yeast profile continuing to dominate through the finish leaving a satisfying taste on the palate. It has a robust but sessionable alcoholic strength. A beer that can be appreciated for its quality and character- yet remarkably easy to drink!
