Black Bottle Whisky distilled at Bunnahabhain distillery is a whisky which has been crafted over time to fully embrace the intensity of Islay Malt Whisky in a complex, satisfying blend. Nose: Grassy grain thins out the deep peat. Saltiness adds depth and compliments peppery notes. Palate: Chewy and smoky. Flavours intensify as the rich, clean and oily peat really kick in. Malty too. Finish: Sensational. Waves of peat give way to cocoa/coffee effect. Unbelievably long for a blend. Comment: Simmering, full-blooded blend that celebrates its 100% Islay malt roots by taking no prisoners whatsoever. Brilliant.
