Bunnahabhain Malt Whisky 1997 15yr MacPhails Bottling. Nose: An attractive mix of fresh cherries, sweet, over-ripe grapes and much earthier, drier malt. Ginger marmalade and toast. Palate: Clean, intense malty start which continues. Fruitiness arrives towards the middle with toasty oak. Finish: A dry finish with that massive malt still pursuing its relentless course. Comment: One of the most enjoyable Bunnas I've tasted though missing that breathtaking freshness. A breakfast whisky for the truly decadent
