Littlemill 12 year old Malt Whisky. Littlemill could be and have the title of "oldest Scotland's distillery", Closed in 1994, it has been partially dismantled and the remaining buildings are nearly in ruin. Nose: Sweet and slightly confected, but has depth. Light, lemony, Orange fruit and almond. Palate: Light and very sweet to start, then a promising creamy maltiness, Becoming flowery and drying. Finish: Seems sweet, quite balanced. Comment: Littlemill has never been a favourite with critics- or blenders- but I have always thought it a good example of a Lowland malt.
