Teaninich Malt Whisky 1995 bottled 2008. A well made assertive malt in the earthy style of the Northern Highlands. The distillery reopend in 1991. Nose: Intense and robust, Aromatic and fruity. Earthy and smoky. Toffee, orange peel. Sandal wood. Wood polish. Restrained sherry notes. Body Medium, rich. Palate: Sweet but tangy too. Fruity, remarkably leafy, lightly peaty. Full expression of sherry: lots of oak, burnt wood, citrus fruit and spices. Very appetising. Finish: Dry, oaky and nutty. leafy, herbal, complex flavours.
