Chapeau Mirabelle from De Troch Brewery pours a clear honey-gold colour, buzzing with carbonation, and a head that stands proud for a while, then fizzles. The aroma is definitely plummy, ripe and sweet, with accompanying sour of sweet spiced plums, figs, sugars, and it tasted like more of the same. Chapeau Mirabelle ids mouth-puckeringly tart!, with fruity sweetness coming right in and finishes with a crisp mouthfeel. All in all this is quite a nice lambic beer and with nice drinkability as well that you should try if you like sweet beers!
